Our backflow preventers have three options: Size, Material & Hardness

Three sizes: 1”, 1.5” and 2” (for BS4825-3, ASME BPE, ISO2037-1 & 14MPW)
- 1 inch (Pipe IDs: 22.1 – 22.6mm) 
- 1.5 inch (Pipe IDs: 34.8 – 35.6 mm)
- 2 inch (Pipe IDs: 47.5 – 48.6 mm)

Materials: Food Grade / FDA Silicone (Red & Magnetic) & Food Grade / FDA EPDM (Black & Magnetic)

Three Hardness Values: 40A Shore (Super-Soft), 60A Shore (Soft) & 80A Shore (Hard)

Trivalve is designed to work best in BS4825-3, ASME BPE (2012) & 14MPW piping sizes. Custom sizes available on request.

A softer valve will open more easily than a harder valve and exhibit a lower pressure drop. A harder valve will resist more reverse pressure than a softer valve. Custom hardness values are available on request.
